    About Me:

I'm Shannon Jackson Arnold. I am a writer, a seeker and seed-sharer. I wrote the words and took the most of the flower pictures on this blog. As of April 2010, this website is on sabbatical while I create my new writing project. I'm leaving the archives up so you can visit if you like. I particularly enjoyed creating my Flowering Fridays feature where I paired one of my flower photographs with musings about what flowers can teach us about life. You can view some of my flower photos here. You are welcome to keep in touch with me by signing up for my occasional newsletter. May you and your dreams bloom. grow. shine. into their fullest expression.

Poppy Posies: A Week of Flower Wisdom, Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Poppy Posies, offering your daily RDA of Flower Wisdom!

For your first course, a quote:

That we find a crystal or a poppy beautiful means that we are less alone, that we are more deeply inserted into existence than the course of a single life would lead us to believe. ~ John Berger

And now for a few words from this week's sponsor, Lady Poppy…

It sometimes requires a gentle touch and close listening to hear and notice another's beautiful spirit.

Keep striving and reaching upward. Go for the sky. Touch the sun. Bloom big.

It is your sacred center that is your most beautiful part (and it truly is breathtaking). Each one of our "centers" is unique, precious and a gift.

    ****

Tell me, what are the flowers saying to you?

    ****

What is all this poppycock about?, you ask.

Poppy Posies is a spontaneously planned week of sharing the wisdom of flowers.

See all the Poppy Posies here.

(Well, as it's day 2, if you click on the link, you'll only see yesterday's post. So might as well just scroll down to view it. More coming tomorrow.)
